Title: Northern Healing Strategy Project
Project Description:
The project proposes to support the creation of a regional network to offer better coordination of healing services dealing with the Legacy of the Residential School system in Northern Manitoba.
Goals:
1) offer better coordination of healing services in the North
2) provide much needed training and skill development to service providers and the community implementation team
3) create awareness of the impact of the residential school system on individual, family and community functioning
4) support the creation of a regional network to support healing process work at the community level
5) increase the capacity of communities to address the Legacy
6) create and coordinate holistic programs and services which reflect and address the needs of survivors and their descendents within the community and regional context.
