Title: Allangurniq (Transformation) Program

Project Description:
The project will provide residential and non-residential healing workshops and programs for Inuit Survivors and their families who have been affected by Residential School Abuse and its effects. These workshops will allow participants to work through the impacts they face as a result of the Legacy of Physical and Sexual Abuse in Residential Schools.

The project will provide one-on-one counselling for Survivors and Intergenerationally Impacted individuals to begin or to continue on their healing journeys.

The project will enhance the capacity of the community care givers to continue the healing process and incorporate Inuit holistic healing techniques and Western formal educational teachings in furthering the individuals, families and the community.

The project will work with Elders to ensure that Elder counsellors are available to participants and that cultural activities are a part of each program.
