Project Title:
Circle of Strength Youth Mental Health Healing Project
Project Description:
The
three communities of Keeseekoose, Key and Cote is working on an
Integrated approach to mental health healing services for Youth;
Strengthened cooperative professional relationships between Aboriginal
and Non-Aboriginal health agencies; The production of regular
Newsletters sharing information on health and safety issues; East
Central Health District workers will be more sensitive to the issues
and have learned new healing practices; The Circle of Strength will
have a documented Model of Holistic Treatment Service designed for
portability to other programs; Develop a Strategic Plan for
Sustainability generating dollars for the Walk-In Clinic; Develop and
implement a Strategic Plan for complete Service Transfer; Keeseekoose
will assume full control and management of the Walk-In Clinic. The KKFN
Mental Health Unit will hopefully receive designation under the Mental
Health Act of Saskatchewan.
